Frequently Asked Questions

  • Individual therapy is $200 for 60-minute sessions; 45-minute sessions are available for private pay only at $160 per session.

  • Currently, I am in a network with Premera and Lifewise. For clients who wish to bill their insurance company for Out-of-network benefits, I can provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company to help you get reimbursed for a portion of the fee. Should you wish to request reimbursement from your insurance company, you are responsible for obtaining and filling out any appropriate paperwork and submitting it to the insurance company. If your insurance provider will be covering the cost of your counseling, you will need to make arrangements with them to reimburse you directly. Please contact your insurance ahead of appointments if you are interested in seeking reimbursement.

  • Please also note that when using health insurance, you are required to receive a mental health diagnosis, which will be part of your medical record.

For Premera and Lifewise clients, having these questions answered would make our billing process much smoother:

    • What is my co-payment or co-insurance?

    • How many covered sessions do I have per year?

    • Do I need pre-authorization for services?

    • Do I need to meet my deductible before mental health services are covered? Has my deductible been met?

For clients who wish to bill their insurance company for out-of-network benefits, these additional questions are helpful:

    • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health?

    • If my provider is out-of-network, what dollar amount or percentage of the fee is reimbursed per therapy session?

  • Sessions occur on a committed frequency of weekly or biweekly (your choice). Currently, I see clients on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

  • Currently, my practice is fully virtual, and I am licensed to work with clients located anywhere in the state of Washington.

Telehealth sessions are offered through a HIPPA-compliant platform. If you have any questions about telehealth, feel free to reach out to me.

  • To cancel a scheduled therapy session, a 48-hour notice prior to the start of your session is required.

If the minimum of 48 hours is not given, you will be charged the full session fee for the missed session. Within a calendar year, you have one free cancellation that waive the cancellation fee for late cancellations. However, this free cancellation still requires a 4-hour notice; any cancellations made under the noted time frame will result in a cancellation fee.

  • Your personal health information is protected under the HIPAA Privacy Rule. You can read a notice of your privacy rights here. Further information about client confidentiality will be provided in a Client Consent form which you will be given prior to the intake appointment.
